Short Story Month

Short Story Month  May has official been designated Short Story Month. Not only has Dan Wickett of Emerging Writer's Network been blitzing out interviews and critiques and articles every May to celebrate the month, but this year even Poets & Writers formally recognized the efforts.

Over at EWN, there's a number of us contributing to a discussion of two collections: Pinckney's Benedict's "Wonder Boy and Other Stories" and Alyson Hagy's "Ghosts of Wyoming." Both are absolutely beautiful collections, and I encourage you to head over to the thread at EWN and eavesdrop on the roundtable discussion about four stories in each book. If that doesn't satisfy your hunger for short story love, Wickett also has a list of short story events happening elsewhere across the web.
